Not improved.
Reasons: 1.) Pinsir looks less like a terrifying bug and more like a ninja turtle character 2.) Scyther looks less like a monster mantis, and more like a Kung fu Panda character.

Why did you make them Ninjas and Samurai? I must complement you on your ability to translate that onto them, but it's about as subtle as Sawk and Throh.

OP here. I give Scyther’s redesign mantis eyes since it’s based on the mantis and I thought giving it those kinds of eyes would be nice.

I really, really like those anon. They feel much more like counterparts now, due to the complementary colors, and yet I can't help but feel like by changing their colors they somewhat lose out on what made them feel "natural" in the first place.

Scyther being half dinosaur is cool and all, and I like the idea of Lurantis, but I still just want a mantis-mantis. There's just so many cool things you could do with a mantis Pokemon.
