Fave: Normal and Fairy. I love animals irl and most normal pokemon are based on regular animals. As a kid I was obsessed with fairies and fantasty/folklore stories so Fairy is a pretty neat type to me.

Least fave: dark and fire. I hate the heat and I don't like dishonesty/dirty tactics.

Problem with the least favorite is that there are no types I outright dislike. Instead there are only three types I think are either underperforming or overrepresented

Least is a lot harder to determine, I don't particularly like that Game Freak is so adverse to pairing the Electric-Type with other types but that's not really an issue of the Electric-Type itself. The Ice-Type & Poison-Type are very rarely useful in casual play but at the same time I greatly like a lot of the Pokemon in both types. Similar issues apply to basically every other type, I think in terms of me forgetting about its existence probably the Psychic-Type, it's not a particularly memorable type for me.

Poison, by far. There are so few of this type that I don't like; most of them are some of my favorite pokemon, like Scolipede, Muk, and Crobat. Used to despise this type as a kid.

My favorite type is Electric. My least favorite type is a tie between Rock/Ground but if I had to pick one it'd be rock since I fucking hate that type. Only one or two Rock types I like and that's purely because of their other types (Omastar)

I love the strange and ethereal feel these types exude(Unown, Sigilyph, Starmie, Duskull, etc.), and they have very few bad designs between them.

Steel, Fairy
Steel has always been a boring type to me, a lot of the designs are just "big slow bulky thing" and most of the designs don't really capture a "steel" feeling.
Fairy is just a badly executed type overall, nothing to say about it that hasn't been said thousands of times already.

Water has some of the best designs in the series. It’s consistent in having Pokémon that don’t look like shit.

Least Favorite: Ghost
The only Ghost type that really caught my eye before Gen 4 was Gengar. Even then, I didn’t think it was that special. Gen 4 and beyond offered some acceptable ghost designs too but they really never stuck with me. Overall, I don’t hate ghost types, I’m just indifferent to them.
