I honest to god can't understand how anyone can defend these abominations. Gen 4's Pokemon are seriously the ugliest this franchise has ever seen. They're objectively ugly, displeasing to look at, I even struggled when playing Pt because every single mon available was so ugly to look at that I just didn't want them in my team, ended up using like 3 mons only. Even the legendaries fucking suck; Giratina is barely not shit, but both Palkia and Dialga are the worst and least appealing box legends we've had, reason why I skipped directly to Pt.
The worst offender of all is Hippopotas, that shit is downright disgusting. That literal circle with those giant nostrils and eyes sticking out like a scrotum defying gravity are seriously the worst shit I've seen, no matter what design you may think is the worst in the franchise, this shit will always beat it. Fuck, I hate even looking at Hippopotas.
