I enjoyed Platinum, can't forget about HGSS of course. B2/W2 have a fair amount of stuff to do, but I feel like it helps if you have the save transfer thing from BW1. That's as far as you can stretch postgame as far as Pokemon goes

I honestly think it might be USUM for me.
Rainbow Rocket is a nice, short quest that had some fun classic puzzles, good battles and actually entertaining dialogue/story, which is a rarity for the franchise.

Exploration-wise
Sinnoh's northern island > Sevii Islands > HGSS Kanto > either post-game Unova areas > GSC Kanto
But none of them add that much to the game.

BW 2 in my opinion. The white tree hollow/black city is more fun than the regular battle tree/maison stuff, and I like it better than most of the battle frontier stuff. And even then the pokeworld tournament is a million times better than fighting a bunch of shitty trainers who use cheats like in the battle tower.

This is probably the worst 'argument' the 3DS apologists have. The Battle Frontier alone adds more hours of playtime than their sad excuses for postgame, which consist of a few cutscenes.

But the tree and maison are just copys of each other, not only that but the tree actually cut battle modes from maison, because GF was too lazy. I personally only did them in one game because there was no point to doing them again since they were identical.
Back then GF, that still gave a fuck, probably realized that having the same facility three times in a row would be boring and came up with the BF.

The difference is that the battle frontier is 90% trash. Yes, there's "a lot of content" (if you define doing the same few things over and over as a lot of content) but most of it sucks ass. In games like BW2 or USM the post game may take less time to complete, but most of it is actually enjoyable, varied, and quality content.
