>>38480784You are actually onto something with Magearna. We still haven't received the original colored Magearna through event, nor have we received the ancient Floette. The last pokemon movie in the original universe before all the reboot movies was Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel.
I think both of these will have to do with Galar. They've already shown us the connections of Kalos (France) to Galar (UK) with the Fletchling weather vale.
The franchise is trying to catch up because I sincerely think at one point they considered making a Pokemon Z but instead opted to make ORAS instead and migrated Z's ideas into SM with Z-moves, Zygarde, and Magearna.
Galar will be the last of the catching up + new stuff.
