Why are moves that involve bones ground type? Is it because bones are burried underground? Is it because aboriginals stick bones through their noses and Aboriginals live in arid enviroments? Would this explain why bonemerange is a move?

It used to be marowak signature move, so it had to be ground type, im pretty sure that they would be rock type if they were introduced in later games

Bu Marowak is ground because bones are. I'm pretty sure it is the "bones are burred in ground thing". Bodies of living organs are made out of water and what is in the ground.
