>>38490124Illusion also masks your health, item, abilities, and certain passive affects
For some instances;
>if you send out a Pokemom with illusion at Max HP, but the last Pokemon in your party has 40% HP, the illusion user will display 40% HP, but will still be at max health.>When the user of illusion has Life Orb, but the last Pokemon on your team has Leftovers, Frisk will say it will have leftovers, the illusion’s HP will display as if it were healing HP, and there will be no display of HP lose. Zoroark will still take damage from Life Orb recoil and not recover HP with leftovers, just displaying that it has leftovers.>Trick/Switcheroo used by the opponent or itself will break illusion. So will the user using Fling or Bestow>Likewise, the same will also happen with abilities.>Zoroark will display its speed increases when the last Pokemon in your team has speedboost, Zoroark will create a fake drought if a drought user is in the last slot, ect. It won’t get the benefits of these abilities, but will display the benefits>Skill Swap, Entrainment, and every other ability changing move breaks illusion>Abilities like Prankster will act as though they will work if the Zoroark is disguised as a non-dark type, but won’t actually be affected. Zoroark disguised as a rock, steel, or ground type will not display taking damage from sand, but actually will take damage>Zoroark missing Toxic while disguised as a Poison type will also break illusionAnd as a half nerf and half buff
>If Zoroark uses a move that the disguised Pokemon can not learn at all, Illusion is broken>This means Zoroark won’t benefit from partnering up with Blissey, but it exponentially increases is benefits with Pokemon like Toxicroak, who can learn several moves that Zoroark can learn, or with other Pokemon with surprising movepools (like Nasty Plot Crobat being more viable as most people expect physical Crobat)
