Do you think the UB's were a mistake? As for my opinion, I personally liked the idea of these outworldish designs and I do also enjoy some of the lore. Guzzlord and Buzzwole are my favorite

No. I like most of them, and am at worst indifferent to one or two. It hurts me that Guzzlord has such a great final boss-esque design, but gameplay wise is so bad.

I agree 100%
All those stats that go to its health is kinda wasted since neither of its defensive stats are useful.

I think it's because newer games are developed simultaneously with the previous games and there's not much to add from the previous one.
Same happens with Marvel crossovers btw.
