Gen 1, 2, and 5 are accurate though. Gen 3 I can understand because the gameboy introduced color.

My point was that keeping the hair as it was in the old design doesn't work with the "gen 1" redesign. If they wanted to go classic "dragon" they should have just gone full King fucking Ghidorah for inspiration instead of a shitty frankenstein of sugimori art.
