I got back into the show thought i would relive my childhood a little bit and watch XY all the way through (not a huge fan of the new rounded art style). I was at the 7th gym when i found out that satoshi loses the league and i decided i wanted to watch up until the last fight with alan because he's not going to win the Alolan league if there even is one.

The executives say that if Ash wins a League Tournament, the anime is permanently over.
Even though it makes no fucking sense because his goal is to become a Pokemon Master and the anime's gone on record saying that becoming Champion doesn't make you a Pokemon Master AND that you can only become the Champion of your Home Region, which completely negates Ash winning, even in backwater Alola.

I still think Blacephelon and Xurkitree are on the table for the league, it's too much of a coincidence that they specifically had Lillie and Lana catch a Fire and Electric UB specifically. All it takes is one stupid filler episode to bring them back.

The thing is though, is that to the idiots on the executive team, Ash winning one Pokemon League tournament is basically the same as him becoming a "Pokemon Master".
