That being said there have been a fair amount of either obscure or animated vidya adaptations that were good, not even just " decent " that Detective Pikachu is looking to be.
It's just that the Oscars brainwashed normalfags into believing animated films were on a league of their own and wouldn't ever warrant the praise of an actual movie unless it's Disney shit.
