I love that his voice is so iconic that the dub actually tried to imitate it during a flashback 10 years later after the studio change (normally they assume nobody remembers and just give them new voices).

I agree. DP's dub was handled kinda decently, but it feels like it has gotten more sanitized and cheaper as it goes on. Listening to XY or BW dub is kinda grating.
