>>38517687Honestly, I think you didn't put enough imagination into it.
First of all, it looks like you just drew a cartoon whale with handles. You need to think of your fakemon as a living creature in an actual ecosystem. Is it literally an objectmon (and if so, then what's its "backstory"?) or is it an organic creature living in nature with features that resemble/are inspired by manmade things? Also, if you're going for the inflatable look, you need to go much more round with your shapes. No jagged points of any kind for this creature.
Next, you need to jazz up the color scheme. You're making a Pokemon with an inflatable pool toy in mind, so it should have a more vibrant and exciting color scheme that brings to mind childhood memories of summer days by the pool.
And you need to think about how to cleverly combine two features into one concept, instead of it just being "animal with human thing attached". I can see that you were taking advice from the thread and incorporating it as you went along (the air nozzle being a blowhole is great and I'm borrowing it for my interpretation), but I'm gonna go a step further and make an inflatable raft concept. The "frame" of the raft rests on the top of its head like a crown, and portrays the idea that it's a very safe and comfortable Pokemon to sit on. I incorporated a pattern going along its side that resembles those safety ropes that go along the side of rafts, while also simultaneously bearing the shape of waves. This also gives a good opportunity to add some flashy pink spots to further evoke the idea of a fun pool toy. I also went full-in on the cute factor due to this, and gave it bright round pink eyes and a big open smile (which also happens to follow the contours of the rope pattern).
So here, my drawing is far, FAR from perfect, but this is more the direction I would go in with this fakemon if I were you.
