Story and characters were pretty good. Companion Mode was the best thing about the game though.

PMD has proven that pandering to furries is not as profitable as we thought
The games sell much less than main series, if they added adult crap they would not even sell nearly enough, and the bad publicity with soccer moms would kill the franchise.
