It does learn various Bug Type Moves, however Bug is throw away type now, as most mons learn a Bug Type Move like X-Scissor, most Dragons learn Fire and Water attacks like Flamethrower and Surf, eventually some will learn Grass attacks, if not more, more throw away types.

not bad. Would definitely be an improvement defensively, but losing STAB Earthquake or Earth Power would hurt it. Bug Buzz and Bug Bite aren't really as good.
