I gave up on Origins when they made Charizard Red's starter when he was always shown with Bulbasaur, Charizard isn't shilled for Pokemon fans, it's shilled so non-fan normalfags can go "oooh he's cool!" and then forget about it immediately.

Ash won the Orange Islands league by fully using his team. Red just sent out 5 pokemon to faint to make Charizard looks cooler surviving direct Hydro Pumps and win with le badass fire blast on water type.

That team was far far FAR more competent than Red's team.
Why are you giving Red's team a pass when it's full of underleveled Pokemon that die in one hit except Charizard?
His Jolteon died by 1 non-stab Thunderbolt.

Red shouldn't win any of the elite members if going by stats and common sense.

Any gen 1 story where Red doesn't get a bulbasaur is immediately thrown into my shitpile. At least Generations had one episode with Red having a Bulbasaur, even if Blue's episode retconned that into Charmander again.

Actually, it makes more sense.

Red is a calm and humble person, which fits Bulbasaur's personality.

Blue is cocky and arrogant, just like Charizard.

Also, both were named Satoshi and Shigeru initially.
Gamefreak changing their names to Red and Blue/Green made it retarded.

actually it was rolling over them at silph co. that made team rocket essentially lose faith in Giovanni and disperse, the trainers at viridian gym were those who were still loyal to him who he planned on restarting team rocket with, but when you beat him again he decided "ahh fuck it"

Ash at least like and love his Pokemon.
He trained them and consider them as his friends.

Red sees Pokemon as disposable tools for battles and to fill hix pokedex only.
He implied at one point that any winning that isn't by his starter is meaningless, he doesn't give a crap about any pokemon except his Charizard.

All his pokemon except one are shit and underleveled.
He had no personality or developed, he was like a literal NPC who only screams attacks and praise his Charizard while giving no shit about the rest of his team.
He's a human garbage with shit personality and attitude.

It could have been resolved if HGSS just called the rival Green, but they went with Blue instead.
Now there is no true solution and never will be one. I call him Blue because it's simpler that way, but it makes my autism flare up knowing how he really pairs with the other two characters.
