Its based of a Luck Dragon, a creature that generally has mammalian and dragon-esque physical traits. Its also known as the Placid Pokemon, so Normal could also refer to its usually calm demeanor. Compare it to the pure Dragons like Haxorus of Druddigon, by comparison Drampa is less of a traditional Dragon (ie. Large reptile), and like most late game Normal types it has a well rounded movepool, giving your team some flexibility.
