>>38545214/vp/ wants it to flop because I assume they're terrified of Hollywood soiling it. But as we've seen, Warner Bros and Legendary Entertainment seem to know what the fuck they're doing. Detective Pikachu actually feels like a genuinely proper Pokemon movie. Plenty of nods to the games and even easter eggs. There are actual trainers who look just as weird as the ones the games and anime, Red is fucking canon, and it still has pretty girls.
I have a feeling this will be the start of something beautiful. It will certainly be something worth experiencing.
