>>38550617Pokemon has always been very gender-conservatist series. First you can play only as a boy, then only as a boy or girl. Initially, most of the important characters (professors, evil team leaders and champions) were all men. It took lot of generations until women got significant roles in Pokemon, outside of gym leaders.
Also, there are no homosexuals, trans-people or pretty much any LBGT presentation in Pokemon. It's a shame in my opinion. Kids need to get wider view of the world through their video games.
