Absolutely false. We all know that Gen 3 started the Golden Age, Gen 6 ended it, Gen 1 was barely even an ok starting point, the designs are garbage, the games were broken, and the story was basic af.

Let me put it this way, Gen 1 not only gives Skyrim a run for its money, it wins. ACE is the end all be all for broken, you can turn a copy of Yellow into tetris from in the game, that's not ok. You can defend and shill all you want, but that won't change things.

Pretty sure GS was only printed in the North American market. European copies do not have the GS as far as I'm aware.

Answering OP's question, I always assumed that it was just NA copies that got the GS symbol, since it was in their marketing alone. If there's American copies out there without it, they'll be from an earlier print run.

No, actually, you can't. ACE is only achievable in gen 1 and 2 games. In Gen 3, Ruby and Sapphire are incredibly safe guarded, Emerald has Glitzer Popping, but that can't lead to ACE, only a corrupted save file or a mon/item you're after, in Gen 4 there's Void Hopping, but that's basically zipping past the loaded barriers of a chunk to get out of bounds, in the void, and travel maps, after that there's nothing but minor bugs.

Silver has a lot of issues, some shared with gen 1
The bag is tiny, you can only carry like 20 items, that's not enough space
The PC also has a limit, the only fix was using stadiums
You can't move items between versions in Stadium 2, so if you had stuff you wanted to use in another game it didn't let you, that was retarded
You can't grab pokemon that aren't yours from Stadium 2 unless you have 150 pokedex entries, what the hell?
There is no postgame in Gen1, although stadium fixes this.

Gens 1&2 are legit great classic games but compared to their remakes they are shit. Jhoto is by far my least favorite region and the lack of new Pokemon available from the start and the terrible level curve makes gold and silver the worst games to replay. FireRed and Leafgreen are the best

Also an oldfag, gold silver were weak games. Even if HGSS was good, gen 2 was weak overall, outside of nostalgia and comfy there’s very little substance in the actual region of johto or its 100 new Pokémon. Can’t say tyranitar isn’t a top 5 of mine though, and Silver was one of the best, if not the best, rival.
