Way too early to tell. Imo they look like another XY, and the lack of free camera may seem like a minor deal but its just another tell that this gen will not be ambitious or take advantage of the console. We will see with more trailers. Just remember, if it's not in the trailers, it's not in the game.

I will bet this right now, and I will bet a shiny Canadian dollar that this is the case. Pokemon Sword and Shield will not only flop immensely, but will kill all future interest in the Pokemon game franchise for good. The series' only hope will be the live action Detective Pikachu movies. And even that will flop with the second movie being vastly inferior. Mystery Dungeon is dead. Ranger is super dead. The anime is shit. We're never getting another Pokemon Pinball game. At least there's Digimon. But how long even will that last? It's over, it's all over.

I'm gonna say this right now: Gen 7 is not going to be an extraordinary generation. Its the first generation on a new console. The devs aren't confident with the new hardware. Gen 8 will be able to take fuller advantage of the Switch and be much more full of advanced features.
