>they call Mewtwo the "strongest Pokemon known to man"
>despite namedropping Arceus in the same movie, meaning they know about the Sinnoh/Hoenn legendaries which outclass him
This was nonsense. The movie was was written by a gen-1 fag which only watched the first season of the anime and the first movie. I was waiting for cool references and service for hardcore fans, but there weren't any. There's only egregious S1 anime shit like Jigglypuff and Psyduck (who the hell still cares about those?). In comparison to the research into the source material and love they put to the Marvel movies, it's nowhere close. It's a subpar detective movie that's not very funny.
Wouldn't recommend the movie to anyone. 5/10. Still the best video-game adaptation ever, though, I guess.
