>>38566314>Why do Pokémon who are already competitively garbage deserve to have their HP cut in half just to balance 3 fucking mons?A. Again, nerfing Stealth Rocks isn’t going to not make them shit anyways. Those shitmons will still be untiered with or without Stealth Rocks, and no one said that they deserve it.
B. Stealth Rocks nerfs more than 3 Pokemon. It punishes people from Switching constantly. Again, you can just run Defog on one of your teammates if you think they are worth it.
You don’t even have to run defog, you can run Taunt, Magic Coat, Magic Bounce, Rapid Spin, and offensive leads to pressure your opponent to not setting up.
>Short answer is they don't. They don't deserve to be shit on more than they already have been. And Stealth Rocks ISN’T going to not make them shit. AGAIN, if you truly were not shit, they would already be in higher tiers since there are multiple ways to control all hazards.
>Mons like Scyther and Vivillon would also likely jump a tier if it only cut their HP by 25%They wouldn’t. Vivillon would only jump up higher if there were buffs to Sleep or if they removed Sleep Clause. Its already B ranked in AG, a tier without said rules, but still has Stealth Rocks.
It turns out that Stealth Rocks isn’t what is holding Vivillon back.
Like wise, every other Pokemon x4 weak to Stealth Rocks, if they are NU, RU, UU, or OU, they are there because of their other weak points, not being x4 weak to Stealth Rocks
>Also, hazard control is significantly more difficult than hazard setting, especially in the lower tiersNo its not. All it requires is for you to press a single move, and every single hazard is now gone. Also see the alternative ways to control hazards.
Not only that, but you’re talking about Scyther raising in usage (which is from PU to NU or even RU), but you’re concerned with hazards control in tiers below NU and RU?
You do know that Pokemon raise in usage BECAUSE they are good in the tier ABOVE them? Not the otherway
