If Pikachu was the Ryan Reynolds the whole time, why did Tim not recognize his voice?
When the humans got fused together in the last act, why could they not talk speak the human language
Since the movie spoiled that Pikachu was the father the entire time, what does that mean for the game's sequel?

The whole "I want to turn everyone into pokemon" plot felt too weird and out of nowhere. I would have been perfectly fine with it just being a plot for him to get a more powerful body and becoming more and more ruthless about it along the way

The son didn't speak to his dad since he was a kid. He didn't visit him once and that was a huge thing the main character had in the first third in the movie.

It was 11, but that's still a literal decade they didn't speak and the whole thing with choosing with live with Grandma instead of Dad was because he was an absent work-obsessed father and Tim felt like he didn't give a fuck, so they were never close. I think not recognizing your father's voice coming out of a Pikachu at that point is reasonable.

It's also not really a plot hole because the only thing it would have changed is maybe a single exchange like "You're a talking Pikachu and you talk with my exact dad's voice, why?" and "I don't know, kid, I just do." considering the talking Pikachu thing was shown to be weird and inexplicable already and at the time, the whole Mewtwo deal wasn't known, Tim still thought his dad was dead, and Tim would have no reason to think that automatically means means it's his dad in there.

Tim hadn't spoken with his father in close to 10 years. I mean, I'm not sure I could recognize a voice from 5 years back 100% of the time.

As for the fused people at the end, we've already had the premise for the whole movie that only Tim understood Pikachu. It wasn't that Tim had some sort of gift or something, but that Pikachu was able to convey himself in a way that only Tim understood. After finding out Mewtwo was the cause of the whole thing, I kinda understood it as Mewtwo granting the dad the ability to talk with his son in order to get Tim involved in the story. Since Pikachu only had the ability to talk with his son, why would the rest of the city have this giant range of whom they could talk to?

Because mewtwo switched the bodies in a slightly different way than the crazy old man did

An entire new plot. Hopefully with more Hoennmons involved

It was established earlier in the movie that Pikachu just said "Pika Pika", but Tim could understand him so it was translated for the audience. They COULD have translated the Pokemon at the end, but probably wanted to keep Detective Pikachu special.

What was Mewtwo trying to achieve by placing Harry into his Pikachu, wiping his memory, abandoning him and going to hang out with Bulbasaurs? Why couldn't he heal Harry like he healed Pikachu? Why didn't he go out and find Tim himself if he was the key to restoring Harry to his original self? How did he expect Pikachu to find Tim with no memory? What was Mewtwo doing after he merged Harry and Pikachu? Does he not want to go after Howard, the one responsible for all of this instead of hanging out with Bulbasaurs for no reason? How can he transfer Harry into Pikachu without R? What was Mewtwo going to do after he undid all of Howard's mess?

Fusing human and Pokémon doesn’t allow them to speak. Mewtwo can talk because he already could even before fusing.

harry was probably comatose and quite possibly beyond what mewtwo could fix or at least fix before he bit it.
I don't think he wiped his memory either, probably the result of the major trauma he just experienced gave him amnesia as well
He could put harry in pikachu because they share a close bond, and pikachu literally told mewtwo to do it. The R works by removing the pokemons thoughts and feelings about it from the equation entirely. its not that it has to have R to work, but R allows him to to do it to anyone at any time

I assume he didnt just fly off to find tim because mewteo is kind of an asshole who hates people and this was more of less your standard pure of heart test trope found in every story ever

I'm not sure mewtwo knew who was actually behind it otherwise he probably would have flown in there to tear howard a new asshole
