To combat the enormous basics, they released multiple ~200 damage 1-prizes like Aerodactyl, which completely degenerates any game between two non-GX decks. It wasn't pretty before, but now it's just retarded.
Obviously huge basics benefit more from Acerola, max potions, etc. which promotes the idea of sweeping, which promotes cards that can output 300 damage with very little effort, like the Tag Team in question. Finally, which EX/GX already established that you can lose a non-EX/GX with zero consequences, the fucking Mismagius / Dusk Stone / Tag Team combo is absolutely ridiculous, when you can lose two prizes and it has no effect if your opponent isn't playing ultra beasts.
The game is the most fun when you have multiple options, when your Pokemon have multiple types and you have to consider weaknesses. Two-KO decks with one gameplan are the exact opposite of that, it's literally a game of "brick or sweep".
