I enjoyed the film, really, but there were two things that REALLY took me out of the immersion...
1. When Pikachu is singing the old cartoon's theme, he says "Teach Pokémon to understand" when the line is "each Pokémon, to understand"

2. Shouldn't those Greninja have been immune to Psyduck's psychic shockwave, being Dark type?!

"Each" results in an improper sentence but it's the actual line. You can hear it pretty easily in the original recordings, and in modern recordings Paige clearly says "each".

It's not improper. It's just "To understand the power that's inside each Pokemon", with the subject moved earlier in the sentence for emphasis.

"Each pokemon to understand the power that's inside": the pokemon will understand the power that's inside of themselves

This isn't a standalone sentence that makes sense. It needs to be combined with the earlier phrase, but if you do that, you need to either put "each pokemon" at the end like you did, or add a "for" after "wide"

Pikachu singing the anime theme was one of the worst parts of the movie. There was no setup, no reason why he'd know the song, nothing. I made up a whole part of the movie just to make it less trash

Something like that, then the scene where Pikachu sings it is sort of a callback to this joke. That would be something, as opposed to literally just "HEY REMEMBER THE ANIME THEME?"

yeah I noticed that too, though I've always assumed countries are a thing in the Pokémon world (e.g. the lightning american) but emphasis is more focused on the regions within a country (like USA and their different states)

What really annoyed me is that they pronounced Pokemon as polkamon. That's the one pronunciation I can't stand and they went with that one, but overall I really liked the movie.

Well the guy knocked him out when he mind melded with mewtwo. Then the ditto stopped him and knocked out his real son so he needed pikachu to distract him.
An issue you could have found was why exactly did mewtwo need Tim to restore his dad's body back.

"Each Pokémon" is not the subject. In your argument for what the line must be, "each Pokémon" is the object of a prepositional phrase. Moving it *away* from the preposition does not, in fact, give it "emphasis" - it only confuses that.
Teach makes more sense. That's the job of a Trainer: to teach Pokémon to understand the power that's inside.

1. Well, i heard "each". But that really doesn't matter to me, as i didn't grow up watching the english dub.
2. Out of the games, there's no reason for the immunities to be taken that seriously. In this specific case, there's no point in a bunch of frogs being 100% immune to a psychic blast, just because they're ninjas.
But if you care that much about game mechanics, they probably have Protean, and were spamming Water Shuriken.
