Do you keep battle effects on or off?

I turn battle effects off because after seeing an attack for the xth time it just becomes boring and god if I ever see the leftovers animations again I'm going to kill myself.

I turn them off only for grinding. I guess it's just feels kinda weird to play the game without animations after playing with it for all this time.
Leftover animation is a mistake

I like to rush battles and focus on damage per turn. The animations get in the way and delay things.

The only time this bothers me is in Crystal where even the coming into battle animations are turned off, that's just lame. It makes Crystal feel less like an update if you don't see those

It depends on if I'm grinding or not. In the older game I'll leave them on though because if i replay them its just for the fun of replaying them rather than prepping for battle tree stuff, and if its for fun then sure, keep the animations.

Overdesigned crap, turn animations off; but doing it for gens 4, 5, 6, and 7 would be redundant because the whole visual experience is overdesigned crap, so just play on PC instead.

I usually leave them on. Some moves have arduously long animations and make me was to turn them off, but then I do so and everything looks really dumb and I immediately turn them back on again.
