Actually, if starvation was setting in (one thing he was afraid of mentioning running out of food as a reason) humans wouldn't be able to compete with hoards of starving, angry pokemon. Also pokemon caused wars out there in Kalos and nearly destroyed the world. He has a good reason for wanting them gone.

to be fair, i think he was also trying to make a point. if he had just magically fixed everything without all lifeforms experiencing loss they wouldn't understand why he did it and what mistakes they made that lead to overpopulation ruining everything, whereas if they understand that half of them dying lead to a better universe, they'd (hopefully) not repeat the same mistakes that lead to the pre-snap point. that said its still a wildly dumb plan and he probably could of come up with something better.

I don't think so, you don't have to have him dump them all into a meat grinder right after, just basically call attention to the fact that violent groups are often made up of weak people simply seeking to belong, which is a good lesson for kids to learn. Maybe a former admin realizes this and decides to help the protagonist defeat the villain after a bit of soul-searching.

Maxie creating more land means more industrialization, water would be completely controlled and managed by Team Magma. He wouldn't even see it as fucking over the ecosystem but rather just advancing the timeline of the effects of global warming to a point where humans have already adapted to an environment where all the oceans are gone and the only bodies of water remaining are either manmade or heavily guarded.
