They're all drawn looking like teenagers so I don't understand why they say they're 10 but give them boobs, ass, slim bodies resembling teens.

I mean depends on your definition of Pokémon girl.

If the principal cast, that might be up for debate because there's clearly older characters like Brock and MAYBE Clemont. Mallow might be aged down to 10 since Lana is her childhood buddy and Lana seems close to Ash.

The games have different data however.

If you are talking about Ashanime:
The ONLY confirmed agewas from Ash, 10yo.

Serena age is SUPPOSED 10, because serena/ash flashback.

Everyone else, Every single one. Every linving soul of Pokemon Franchise have NO CONFIRMED DATA.
There is no source of Iris, Misty, May, Dawn....

NOT A SINGLE LINE.

Manga in other hand, have ages. But they aren't Ash, May, Dawn... They are Red, Saphire, Pearl, all not anime related.

GF fell into the classic "our audience is 10-year-old kids so lets make the characters 10-year-old kids so they relate to them" trap, in actuality kids want to roleplay as older kids, and the visual designs seem to indicate the main characters are in the 13-16 age range, but the people who have the final say still agree "nope, they're 10, this book I have right in front of my says they're 10 and far be it from me to question the book."

Ash is 10, Serena's about the same age as him, May and Dawn are younger than Ash to an extent, Misty calls herself 10. The Alola crew probably got deaged to 10, and everyone else is older than 10 to an extent.

So, its not confirmated. Both would be young or older.
Also, the "being 10 to get a free starter" its a Gen1/Oak thing, that is _supposed_ to be in other regions, but nothing was confirmated.
