Mega Evolution and Ultra Beasts were unnecessary additions to the game and people would've just been fine with new Pokemon, but now that they both exist, zoomers will want new Mega Evolutions and Ultra Beasts without thinking about the meta. We could have still had a meta similar to Gen 4/5 (the best metas imo) if Game Freak didn't add a shitload of legendary BST Pokemon into the game
