The story is worse. Everything else is either the same shit or a slight improvement.

The fuck? She and her entire family were fucked over from SM to USUM. They removed her fusion with Nihilego, they made her seem like a tragic good character right just after her 1st (and only) battle and suffered no physical or psychological consequences after messing with the multiverse. Lillie, Gladion and the story in general suffered a big downgrade partially because of her.

The pokemon that were introduced are pretty based (Golisipod, turtonator, toxapex, vikavolt, etc.) and the ultra beasts are weird enough to be enjoyable as well. There's just not enough new pokemon and the ones we got still weren't as good as previous gens (except maybe 2).

Gen 7 as a whole was a low point in the franchise
