Absolutely fantastic, I was kinda scared of the new catching system and all that but it actually felt great (never played go, though, so I guess I'm biased here) even if the system is iffy at times and the ball seems to go wherever the fuck it damn pleases, but idk if it's a hardware issue or on their end
But being able to go through kanto with my pikachu on my shoulder?
And god did they make it fucking adorable, I'm kinda sad they didn't include refresh for the others as well, but what they did on pikachu is simply fabulous, how it keeps trying to grab your attention when shit happens and you shake your joycon and he starts dancing or imitating someone? Just great
I know it sounds kinda dumb and I know I wouldn't have expected to like this feature so much before, but giving an actual personality to your starter and being able to interact with it that way? Just fantastic
I hope they keep that for the next games, I truly hope they do, not just refresh but your starter having an actual fucking personality
And then maybe hopefully all mons would have their own, and then each individual mons would have their own personalities based on their natures or something?
Will we ever have a tsundere charizard? Or a jealous and very clingy chikorita?
Though I guess that would be asking for a lot, and maybe too much, but I'll keep hoping
