>>38610597That's not true for Spaceworld. Spaceworld and the Red and Green beta stuff were two separate leaks. The Spaceworld demo we got as actual ROMs, which are untouched by the team aside from fixing the checksum headers or whatever it was to make them playable.
The Red and Green assets came a few months later and only had backsprites, and that's what had dubious legitimacy because HelixChamber sat on them for 6 months while putting out 'farfetched theories' that were proven true by the data, but they already had the data by this point and were passing off what they found in at as their own theories, then finally revealed them to the world through a livestreamed romhack that went about as badly as it could possibly go, culminating in the streamer asking for donations to see Pokédex entries, which after the stream were revealed to be entirely fan recreations based on the backsprites and move-data, neither of which are in the Pokédex, effectively scamming people out of money by charging them to see fanshit under the guise that it was real beta shit. The whole thing was a goddamn disaster, search up RacieB in the archives if you want more information on that fateful night.
