The single player experience is really bad from almost every perspective. Cutscenes and garbage characters shoved down your throat, and the regions themselves are just hallways with invisible walls. We don't even get dungeons anymore.
HOWEVER, the battle system is still as enjoyable as ever and they add just enough to keep it interesting. Make no mistake, Pokemon has the most varied and customizable battle system of all time. That's why I keep coming back, personally.

You can't just slap them on every pokemon in official battles. So the Phys on one Pokemon and the Spec on another with item clause kicking in.

In addition, physical assault vest and eviolite. Trick room, wonder room, and magic room have 8 turn extender items.
