Those were the best choices for a pseudo pair in Kalos.
New type + 2 types that both had buffs/nerfs in the new gen and gimmicks, both have 1 or more immunities, decent stats that didn't take a lot to get buffed to 600bst like Florges.
Instead you've Goodra which has an optional immunity to Grass type that also benefits its Attack, I don't mind Goodra which I like more as physical even but what was the point of introducing Fairy type if the pseudo wasn't even Fairy, not to forget how all similar these fairies were stats wise, Aromatisse, Sylveon, Florges, Florges gimmick was symbiosis, it can't even the pollen status attacks like Sleep Powder or Leech Seed which would work on a pure Fairy type, for what purpose, really? Same deal with 2 Ghost/Grass mons one of which can't even learn decent Fire attacks or regardless both ending being mostl physical. Kalos sure was rushed, the Dedenne and Pyroar examples also showcase some basic incompetence, I think they spent more time on megas than actual new regional Pokemon, in fact you can't even find Hoopa, Diancie and Volcanion in Kalos on the top of that.
