Game Freak for whatever reason has decided to copy Sinnoh's cross-gen Pokemon gimmick for Sword and Shield. The twist is that excluding two Eeveelutions, it only applies to Gen 5, 6, and 7 Pokemon instead of 1, 2, and 3 like Sinnoh did. The format also follows the corresponding generations. So by this criteria:
>Unova gets 7 new evolutions and 3 babies (Like Kanto)
>Kalos gets 8 new evolutions and 2 babies (Like Johto)
>Alola gets 5 new evolutions and 2 babies (Like Hoenn)
>Two new Eeveelutions
