what?
misty is a tsundere, a true one, and asuka not only isn't a true tsundere, even though she is depicted as such in around 95% of the material made by fans, her relationship with shinji/ash is absolutely different (because, once again, asuka isn't a true tsundere)
Shinji is a broken individual, a teenager coming from a broken family who visibly suffers from it, and it's an intrinsic part of his character, the hate he feels for his father and how lost and lonely he feels due to growing up without parents and then his growth as an individual due to misato/rei/asuka
Ash is absolutely nothing like that, though he comes from a broken family still, he never ever mentions his dad, he simply doesn't seem to care about him, he doesn't resent him, he doesn't hate him, he doesn't feel lost due to the lack of paternal figure
Maybe his paternal figure was oak? I guess, idk, haven't watched the anime in a while honestly, but yeah, he's maybe just a kid but he knows what he wants, he has his goals sets and he keeps on moving forward
Asuka doesn't love shinji, misty loves Ash, asuka hates how weak-willed he his and his lack of balls, misty loves ash and the only part she 'hates' about him is how he keeps jumping in without thinking, but of course it's not true hate and she actually loves that part as well
Of course all those differences are mostly due to the fact that pokemon is a silly anime with stereotypical characters acting by the book and made mainly for children, while NGE was trying something new and (tried) to take a more serious and realistic approach to how teenager reacts to each other
Not the same characters, not the same relationships, misty wants the herocock and asuka doesn't
