>>38635620I mean every generation has good Pokemon, and has flawed ones. I try to get the best in every Pokemon's design, and why people would dislike them. I just think the ratio is more drastic, dropping some definite stink designs. If Victreebel or Voltorb came out today, they'd get shat on definitely. Nostalgia is a bias, I don't believe in "soul" or shit like that. Design should and will evolve in a series, but their experimental designs usually fall flat and the Pokemon are left being forgettable. They can be successful, like with some of the UBs, but between 20 people designing them, you'd think they'd have some sort of "bible" to follow by now.
