GF could experiment with non linearity in pokemon games by doing the Crystal Clear treatment. Take a already existing game and design it so you are able to go anywhere to any town and city but you still need HMs or ride pokemon to get to hidden areas. Trainers and wild pokemon scale depending on how many badges you have. Also being able to rematch gyms for some quick grinding. The game will take place some time after the original as a new trainer, so there are no rival and evil team to stop you, but you are able to battle the old trainers from the originals.

It's like a mix of Crystal Clear and Let's Go but without Go catching mechanic. I mean if GF is gonna make a reimagining side series at least do something more that just Go catching
