It's like writing a gay character in a cartoon.
You can't just have a character who happens to be gay, Gay needs to be their entire personality/character.
Fetishes are more often than not projections of the subconscious that are desired and likewise sexualized.
For instance, I am a fan of macro/micro content, but I further refined this, what about the aspects of Macro/Micro content did I enjoy, and how could I refine it?
I combined this general projection, and divvied it into a phelthora of fetishes, instead of lumping it into one.
In this, I dissolved the lump Macro/Micro into specifics,
I like Femdom, I like Tights/Pantyhose, I like various forms of Vore, I like Entrapment, Confinement, Masochistic rituals and being Overwhelmed.
Combined, they make for an interesting Macro/Micro hodgepot, but I don't have to expect all those qualities in Macro/Micro content and I can seek out my interests in partition to whatever I desire at the point of time.
Tl;dr edition: The Unenlightened will demand a lump of their subconscious desires in one form, however the Enlightened will explore their own desires, and find multiple outlets, instead of forcing/lumping a personal standard unto one.
