Funny that every single digit iq shitter here's going the shitposting route, when it's obvious they want to not risk "ruining pokémon" because the implementation of its HD wasn't immediately pixel perfect straight out the gate but still learn how to do it, so they CAN whip out a HD pokémon game smoothly (say what you like, after they figured out the DS in Gen IV, they were set for making games for the next 11-odd years).

Why is the first one so important? Nintendo is going to keep making pokemon games until the sun explodes, this argument would be relevant if pokemon was some kind of niche franchise that needs to do good in order for the next one to happen, but that's not the case, the next one is already happening.

In a 3D environment it actually does help though.

There is no point to a game using 3D models if you can't move the camera.

That's one of the asinine things about games like New Supe. I still enjoy the game but I'd rather it all be nice stylized 2D graphics if the levels are to be 2D.

That sounds more like your problem, isometric games have existed since way before pokemon. I'm not saying that a more open world game would be bad, we don't know that, but just because a game is open world doesn't make it good either, pretending that there's a problem with the game just because it uses a fixed camera is fucking stupid, specially when there are millions of others jrpgs out there that could easily have a fixed camera without changing a single bit how the game plays or how the world feels.
