>>38647113Not quite as ambitious as Colosseum was, mostly due to reusing a lot, but made up for it in quality of life and what it had to call its own. Shadow moves had a physical/special split before gen 4 and the fear of recoil fainting wasn't omnipresent; it's the only game where you could use a pokemon a generation before its introduction with Bonsly in bingo mode(Which was ok); you could save anywhere; Eevee starter with equal access to evolution was creative; the Battle CDs were better than any HM or other overworld puzzle the other games have put out; animations were improved further with some additional tweaks to reused models like removing Jumpluff's square shadow; and there was more pokemon choice while staying restrictive enough to require some planning, with the ability to snag multiple shadow pokemon in a single battle helping.
There were stumbling blocks like how many distractions took you away from what you were doing between Wild Pokemon and Miror B, but overall it shows the quality Genius Sonority is capable of when they have a decently sized staff. Too bad now they're relegated to Trozei and Shuffle duty now.
