We all know HG/SS was kino, but after playing Crystal I'm let down by the fact that they took away the chance to get Donphan and Tyranitar early. And the fact that because of Eurofags nobody gets the Game Corner anymore.
Anything you 30-year-old boomers miss from the old days?

Yeah they definitely could've done more to improve the distribution, they kept dumb shit like some Johto Pokemon only being found in Kanto. Plus they butchered Lance's dialogue for no reason.

I actually like some of the Red/Blue/Green sprites before yellow made them look more like the anime designs.

I really miss the rocket, I hate that we get a new evil team every game that has some crazy global goal and yet they still steal pokemon and use nothing but poison and dark type shitmon. Team rocket was pokemon gangsters and had a reason to steal. New teams should have a new thing. Loved team skull for being just a bunch of goofs

HGSS was the first game to not have Nob as the translator and it really shows at certain places. A lot of the flavour his writing has is just absent in HGSS.

I literally spent like 30 hours in there getting everything right in my main HG after I finished Kanto.

That's what made HG/SS so great. Some things that would've been nice to see fixed weren't but it had all of the Generations upgrades and at least the few things that were removed were replaced with something worth spending time on (though in the case of the Safari Zone, not as much time as they wanted you to with those asinine encounter wait times) along with some new shit AND Crystal's stuff.
