Slow frail mixed attackers ARE minmaxed. A stat spread more evenly distributed would give some of these Pokemon enough speed to function as attackers and/or enough defense to function as bruisers.

They'd be so easy to fix too.

However, I did use cacturne on a sand team once and he wasn't too bad.

For carnivine, remove the special attack and boost his speed. Get rid of levitate and give him flying type and strong jaw. Give him bit moves and some flying attacks
