3 minutes later, the first 4chan post using the reddit acronym was made. People are fighting over which acronym is the proper acronym. SwSh's reasons for its side were stated above. SS's reasons for being the official acronym are
- It's actually an acronym(taking the first letter of each word and putting them together to stand for it as a whole)
- it's much quicker to type(shift, S, S, release shift vs. shift, S, release shift, w, shift, S, release shift, h)
- It was used in a filename for both of the game's logos on the official press site
The only thing close to SwSh that could be considered official is "SW • SH" as it was used in CoroCoro and on the Japanese site, although it's a lot slower to type due to having an alt code character in it and 2 spaces.
