Gen 2: Ampharos due to extremely little in the game resisting both Electric/Fire
Gen 3: Swampert because nothing in Hoenn has Grass moves+an entire crime team is weak to Surf
Gen 4: Staraptor for D/P due to evolving early+being one of the few birds with coverage. In Plat, Garchomp due to Gible being extremely early, as well as being right next to an EQ TM.
Gen 5: Excadrill because it learns every move it could possibly need via levelup as well as having way too much Attack
Gen 6: Aegislash because it's effectively got a BST higher than box legendaries+Swords Dance
Gen 7: In SM, Ribombee because it's one of 4 pokemon in the region with speed along with a very strong Bug move early on. In USM, the trade Hawlucha for being fast, strong, and leveling up faster than everyone else.
These aren't the only good pokemon in each region obviously, but they're the standouts.
