It was so mainstream that it was the first Nintendo handheld whose highest-selling, non-bundled games weren't Pokemon. DP outsold RS, Platinum outsold Emerald, and HGSS outsold FRLG, so Gen 3 is shit according to that logic. BW were also less than a million behind RS, and B2W2 outsold Emerald. Not to mention Emerald is the lowest-selling main game to date, so by continuing to post this graphic, you look retarded to anyone who knows the true sales numbers.
