the pp system not only isn't good, but it's pointless
the only thing it does is force you to go back to the pokecenter every now and then, and even then most moves have so many pps you don't even need to

what they should do is PP/battles
at the end of every battles you PPs are recovered, and of course you nerf the max PPs of all the moves accordingly to support this change
alternatively you could go with PPs recovering mid battle, and so you swapping your mon to let the one with low PPs rest would sometimes be the better solution, and you could pass it as a fatigue system
though at that point they should just have stamina and each moves cost X

well you don't even need that, just make the pp recovering berries more available
hell, having PPs become relevant would make said berries relevant as well, instead of those things that you just use whenever you've been grinding for a while and feel too lazy to go back to the pokecenter
