It's not "per turn". If you let it get down to 5, it won't be 2:30 the next turn. It'll be 10. It regenerates the more you quickly move.

it's so they can check smogon pages and run calcs every turn to keep their winrate up. That way they get to have a say when it comes round to voiting time and whether or not to increase the turn timer.

Has anyone noticed an increase in salt lately? In the past few weeks or so, I’ve run into like 10+ players that ragequit at turn 3 because of losing one mon to RNG, and they never forfeit, just “leave”, making me babysit their bad life decisions. I’ve never seen it be so common before though. It’s usually after cursing me out in the chat.

this is on randoms btw, not even a tryhard ladder like OU

The timer should at least have “checkpoints”
If it reaches a certain time, like a 1 minute and 15 seconds, it should only reset to there

Lol if they timerstall (waiting untill 5 seconds to pick their move every turn) just timerstall them back and spam chat, they leave 100% of the time. If you can't deal with waiting 2:30 to win because they actually left, you have autism.
