Not only does it bring me memories of my childhood and friends, it has many stuff to make, you could collect them all, shiny hunt, be interested in the story only...
everytime i play the same pokemon game, i end up doing diferent things, i tend to use diferent mons on my party, talk to all npcs or choose to focus on the story...

I like Pokemon because it's simple fun and helps me connect to my friends. I enjoy playing through the story with Pokemon that aren't necessarily the best, but that I enjoy using, and then battling and talking with my friends about the game

Same. The new set of Pokemon are what make a new gen interesting. Without new Pokemon, the game is just another rehash of a 20+ year old framework. I might be interested in a game with a few new Pokemon, but only if it's a major game overhaul and has variety from every generation.
